Global Warming Solution – A Modest Proposal

Finally there is hope for the beleaguered Earth. Regardless of the cause of global warming (which I believe to be due to increasing carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in our atmosphere), a quick fix solution is at hand: small regional nuclear conflicts.

According to studies published in the journal Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics Discussions, as reported in the LAT here, relatively small nuclear explosions would cause global temperatures to decline by several degrees. Not the alarming “nuclear winter” scenario resulting in the end of life as we know it, but a more casual, user friendly atmosphere-soaked-with-soot vision, i.e. millions, not billions, of human lives lost. No problem, right? Earth is victorious. Global warming halted, humanity exalted.

So don’t be alarmed by dire warnings clamoring that allowing Iran and other Middle Eastern countries to acquire nuclear weaponry capability is totally unacceptable. It’s in all our best interests. Give thanks to the gods for that. And Merry Christmas.

Very interesting concept...

Maybe some of the NASA Terra Forming technology being studied for Mars could be introverted to help ourselves.

Yet another point of view can be found here: (http://davidfriedman.blogspot.com/)on the Friday Dec, 22 posting.
