Vote Please
Ignore the ridiculous obfuscatory and mean spirited paid political TV advertising, do some research, and vote with your conscience and your cranium. Think hard about the choices you make. Your vote matters.
Current conventional wisdom indicates this election is all about Iraq. That may be true, but I personally don't accept it. I've come to the conclusion that US forces will be needed in Iraq for many years to come (at lower than current levels), but should be deployed as buttresses and advisors to the Iraqi army and police as needed, and not as front line targets. So be it.
No, for me, this election is about America, and trying to reinstate the pride I had for this country and our beliefs and our deeds. Sure, throughout our short history there always seems to have been some kind of governmental controversy or cover-up or scandal, but I've never felt such a grim weight of state oppression figuratively pressing on my back as I have in these tumultuous times. I'm sick of it.
